Traditional Braces
If you have orthodontic issues that are too severe to be corrected with clear aligners, traditional braces may be your best option. Brackets are carefully fitted onto your teeth before being connected with an archwire. Thanks to the pressure from this wire, your teeth will start to shift to new positions. You may need to wear your braces for as long as two or three years, but the exact timeline will vary from patient to patient.
SureSmile Clear Aligners
Clear aligners are more discreet than traditional braces and allow you to straighten your smile without needing to worry about having the wrong kind of attention drawn to your teeth. While many people are familiar with Invisalign clear aligners, our office is proud to offer an alternative: SureSmile. Compared to Invisalign, SureSmile tends to yield results in less time, and it can reduce the number of adjustments needed over the course of your treatment.
VPro Technology
With VPro, we’re able to significantly shorten a patient’s orthodontic treatment just by having them use a small device that consists of a vibrating mouthpiece. Used for only five minutes once or twice a day depending on the case, VPro ensures that clear aligners are properly seated and stimulates the bone remodeling necessary for the teeth to shift, enabling the process to go faster than it would normally. For patients, this can speed up treatment, sometimes cutting their expected timelines down by a third or half!
Propel® Technology
We pride ourselves in using the latest technology to enhance the quality of the care that we offer. To that end, we have adopted Propel® technology to accelerate the orthodontic process so that our patients don’t have to wait as long to achieve their smile goals. A Propel® treatment involves making small holes in your gums (after you’ve been numbed) so that we can stimulate the bone around the teeth. The procedure only takes a few moments, yet it can significantly speed up tooth movement.
